Pane e Vino Wine Bar & Academy is hiring!

We are looking for someone with an interest in food, beverage, and most importantly, hospitality. No previous experience is necessary, but prior work in food/beverage/hospitality may be helpful. We are a small team dedicated to providing the highest-quality food, wine, and hospitality to our guests. We offer a range of dining experiences from house-made pastas to multi-course prix-fixe dinners, all alongside one of the country's best wine lists and top-shelf spirits and cocktails. We are regularly open for 3 nights of service with a need for additional help in prepwork and general restaurant work on other days.

Requirements for Employment

  • Be interested to learn and follow guidance from management and current staff.

  • Be able to work quietly, calmly, and respectfully in a small kitchen/restaurant environment.

  • Willingness to work in all areas of our restaurant business, including service, food preparation/cooking, cleaning, and restaurant preparation.

  • Creativity and a willingness to share and exchange ideas to improve and grow our business as part of a family-like team.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (21 preferred).

Beneficial Prior-Experience/Knowledge

  • Basic skills in the kitchen – particularly in the areas of desserts, pastry, and grilling.

  • Understanding of classic cocktail preparations.

  • Base knowledge of wine regions, grapes, and service standards.

  • Accounting, spreadsheet, website, social media skills.

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Desire to learn about wine/beverage or pursue certifications with national/international wine organizations (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Society of Wine Educators). 

Job Duties

  • Meal prep-work, including pasta making.

  • Dishwashing/cleaning.

  • Restaurant setup.

  • Food preparation during service.

  • Other tasks as needed/as applicable.

Pay, Hours, & Expected Work Load

  • $10/hour plus a tip share when working during service hours.

  • Part time

Service Hours

  • Tuesday, 4-9pm

  • Friday, 4-9pm

  • Saturday, 4-9pm

  • private and special events other evenings
